DCRC Terms of Reference

The Development Control Recommendations Committee operates as a principle consultee under the Planning Authority, North Dorset District Council.

Terms of Reference for the Development Control Recommendations Committee

The Development Control Recommendations Committee will be responsible for the following:

a) To receive and make comments / recommendations on all Planning Applications direct to the Development Control Planning Department at North Dorset District Council and the Planning Department at Dorset County Council as appropriate.

b) To receive and make comments / recommendations on Planning Control decisions.

c) To receive and make comments / recommendations on received appeals against planning decisions.

d) Any documentation, other than specific planning applications and / or appeals, should also be referred to the next available Policy and Resources Committee meeting.
