Civil Weddings at Gillingham Town Hall

Gillingham Town Hall is conveniently situated close to the Town Centre with a small car park to the side of the building and limited parking during the week.

The Civic Hall formerly the Magistrates Court built in 1890, is a large room with a high ceiling and a small raised stage. The room holds 60 people closely seated. There is a small walled garden suitable for photographs at the rear of the building. All rooms have wheelchair access.

Your ceremony can be as simple or sophisticated as you wish. What is important to us, is finding out what matters to you. An
experienced Registrar will guide you through the creation of your own personalised ceremony.

Prior to your Ceremony
You must Give Notice of your intention to
marry. This is a legal requirement that you
both have to complete in person, with a
Registrar in the registration district in which
you live, before your marriage can take place. 

Baby Naming, Renewal of Vows, Celebrations of Life Memorials and Citizenship ceremonies.

The Civic Hall is located within the Town Hall and is ideal for Baby Naming, Renewal of Vows, Celebrations of Life Memorials and Citizenship ceremonies.

Room hire fee: £100 per session

Room hire sessions:
Morning 10.00 am— 1.00 pm
Afternoon 1.30 pm— 4.30 pm

Chantry Community Office

The Chantry Community Office is located next to Gillingham Library, the Community Office offers a small meeting room for up to 10 people. It is equipped with WIFI, cups and saucers and a kettle. A pay and display car park is located at the rear of the building.

Room hire fee: Community Office £15 per session

The room sessions:
Morning 9.00 am— 1.00 pm
Afternoon 1.30 pm— 5.30 pm
Evening 6.00 pm— 10.00 pm

Town Bridge Office

The Town Bridge Office is located within the High Street car park, and offers a small meeting room for up to 6 people. It is equipped with WIFI, cups and saucers and a kettle. A pay and display car park is located next to the building.

Room hire fee: Town Bridge Office £15 per session

The room sessions:
Morning 9.00 am— 1.00 pm
Afternoon 1.30 pm— 5.30 pm
Evening 6.00 pm— 10.00 pm

Council Chamber

The Council Chamber is located within The Town Hall and is available to hire solely for the purpose of meetings, consultations, training courses or as a Polling Station.  The Council Chamber has wheelchair access, a built in projector and screen, and there is a small car park to the side of the building with limited parking during the week.

Room Hire Fee: £50 per session commercial rate or £25.00 per session non-profit rate

Morning 9.00 am— 1.00 pm
Afternoon 1.30 pm— 5.30 pm

Please note that due to Council requirements, bookings for the Council Chamber cannot be made more than 14 days in advance.
